Another year, another NAMM, another round of new products to discuss. This one is a collaboration between Reloop, Algoriddim, and full time festival DJ and part time ninja Laidback Luke. The new controller is a follow up to the all-in-one ultra-portable Reloop Mixtour, which has been around for quite a while, filling in a similar gap to Native Instrument’s Kontrol Z1.
Mixtour Pro
The Reloop Mixtour Pro exceeds expectations in the tiniest of spaces and provides a professional yet portable solution for the club and festival scene. The ultra-compact DJ controller was developed in close collaboration with legendary DJ & producer, Laidback Luke and is specifically designed to use seamlessly with Algoriddim’s award-winning djay Pro software.

My take
THE FUTURE OF DJING.
But also the past.
And the present, for that matter.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Reloop. They consistently make solid, decent quality gear that works well with all the DJ software. They also produce a lot of the official controllers for Algoriddim‘s djay, which has grown from strength to strength over the last few years.
This latest offering has the same DJ paradigms as every controller and mixer for the past 20 years, but adds some controls for Algoriddim’s current version of djay Pro: integration of the various Neural Mix features, including the latest ‘Crossfader Fusion’. But this is playing it safe. The features in djay are ripe for some dedicated hardware similar to how Traktor approaches things: small, modular controllers for things like Neural Mix, sampler, looper, etc.
The Reloop Mixtour Pro is available Summer 2024, SRP: 449,99 € | $ 499,99 | £399,99
